The meeting with Mr. Anbarasu IAS
On the 14th of August, 2018 Fr. Jegath Gasper Raj met with Mr. Anbarasu IAS and discussed with him the future course of action for the ‘Palmyra Nation’ initiative. We have shared below, the views of Fr. Jegath Gasper Raj, regarding Mr. Anbarasu IAS and the meeting that took place, in his own words.
"In my life, without any exaggeration, I have not met a serving Senior Officer so approachable, humane, plain honest and bewilderingly efficient like this officer: Its Mr. Anbarasu IAS, Development Commissioner of Pondicherry. With him, Palmyra Nation made the millennium leap today afternoon, in ten minutes. The entire Government machinery was brought into the loop within that 10 minutes and the deal was done and 84 major water bodies and the sea coast vulnerable to cyclone. We are going to plant 5 lac seeds in the next 12 weeks, the real season. The Govt will deploy its machinery, taking responsibility also for digging pits. We have to take responsibility for the seeds. Govt can also find the money for seeds, but it will take some time and by that time the season will pass. So let's take the opportunity and make it the best and most edifying experience of Govt- People partnership. Please talk to friends who can support gathering or procurement of seeds. Now today's this path-breaking meeting with Mr. Anbarasu IAS was made possible by our Senior Advisor and benevolent Patron Mr. Balachandran IAS Rtd. We owe much to him. Thank you Sir. On another side taking inspiration from Palmyra Nation, Mr. Thol Thirumavalavan has motivated his cadres to plant 100000 seeds on his birthday, August 17. What we began as a humble initiative has transformed itself in to a hope gifting Movement, all because of the tireless work of so many volunteers, generosity and uncorrupted blessings of Seniors like Mr. Balachandran IAS, Mr. Devasahayam IAS, Mr. Thomas Franco, TVH Mr. Ravichandran, Uncle Joseph Enok's Team represented by Latha Pandiarajan, His Grace Rev. Mohan C. Lazarus and many more wonderful souls. Thank you all!"
